Time to get on with Mai-Star II refit once again.

It as been a while since I have been able to get down to the boatyard and do some work on her, however now I have a bit of time between projects I will be able to get on and do some Work on getting the planks in the bow finished off and caulked and sealed, also get the ribs nailed in place and finished off and get some more oak for doing the rest which need replacing. Another job is to sort out the cockpit area and its layout and the cockpit coamings which are going to be re-designed to make better use of the area and to be able to mount small winches on the outside of the coamings to make sail adjustments easier when short handed.

One job that needs to be finished off quickly is the cabin roof so that the roof can be covered and sealed and so the sliding hatch can be re-fitted along with the roof vent and hand rails and edging trim around the top of the cabin roof.  Once these jobs are done then work in the cabin can start and the boat can start to look more like her self again.
