Been a while since done any blogging on the site, so this is a run down of what’s been going on in the world of Mai -Star II restoration world.

J-Star Boat Services and Marine Engineering

It has been a long while since I have been able to find the time to put pen to paper so to speak.

Here goes, it has been a busy time down at the boatyards around the country where I have been working as well as finding time to work on my own yacht.

The work on Mai-Star II as been a little slow, however progress as been made in sorting out the leaking problem in the bow. It was found that the ends of the planks were more holey than godly and that these needed to be replaced with new lengths of plank and the surrounding planks needed refixing where possible. Once this was done than the attention was back on getting the new ribs steamed into position and nailed up ready fro cliching up later.
